The P280 and the Y300 sit at the same weight, so a youth and an adult version of the same midweight hand feel can be ordered together. The 15001 is the heaviest option in the range at 12 oz and 407 GSM. We also carry the 3130 French Terry Sleeveless Hoodie at 8 oz and 271 GSM. It is a sleeveless French terry style rather than a fleece hoodie, so it is listed here for completeness and left out of the comparison below.
Weight and feel
The P280 at 8.8 oz and 298 GSM is a midweight fleece. It has enough body to hold its shape on a hanger and enough drape to sit close to the body without looking stiff. For most wearers it reads as a standard hoodie, warm without being bulky.
The 15001 at 12 oz and 407 GSM is a different garment in the hand. It is noticeably denser and heavier. It holds structure, hangs with weight, and keeps a defined shape through the shoulders and hood. That weight is the point of the style.
The 5108 and 5109 at 7.8 oz and 264 GSM are the lightest hoodies we carry. They feel softer and more relaxed than the midweight, and they layer more easily under a jacket. The 5109 carries the same weight in a full zip build.

The P280 at 8.8 oz and 298 GSM is a straightforward decoration surface for standard screen print and embroidery work. Artwork set up for a midweight fleece will behave as expected.
The 5108 and 5109 at 7.8 oz and 264 GSM suit lighter decoration. They work well for softer prints and for designs where the garment should not dominate the artwork.

P280 Midweight Pullover Hoodie, 8.8 oz, 298 GSM. Best for volume screen printing, band and event merch, staff and uniform orders, and general promotional work. It is the safe default when you do not know the end use. The Y300 Youth Pullover Hoodie at the same weight covers youth sizing in the same program.
5108 Premium Pullover Hoodie and 5109 Premium Full Zip Hoodie, 7.8 oz, 264 GSM. Best for layering pieces, lighter weight retail ranges, and jobs where a softer hand feel is the priority. The 5109 full zip suits anyone who wants the same weight in an open front style.
When to choose the lighter option
Choose the 7.8 oz styles when the hoodie is going to be worn indoors, layered under outerwear, or sold in a climate where a heavy fleece is too warm. Choose them when the print is light and the garment should stay in the background. Choose them when a softer, more relaxed hand feel is what the customer is asking for.
Choose the 8.8 oz P280 when you need one weight that covers the widest range of jobs and you want a consistent midweight hand across adult and youth sizes.
Choose the 12 oz 15001 when the weight is the selling point, when the print is large or heavy, or when the garment needs to hold structure.
How to choose
Start with the end wearer and the decoration. If the job needs a substantial garment and the weight is part of what the customer is buying, go with the 15001 at 12 oz and 407 GSM. If the job needs a dependable midweight that prints cleanly and covers most uses, go with the P280 at 8.8 oz and 298 GSM, and add the Y300 for youth sizes. If the job needs a lighter, softer hoodie for layering or for lighter decoration, go with the 5108 or the 5109 at 7.8 oz and 264 GSM.
