100% Cotton & High-Cotton Blank Hoodies, Tees & Fleece
This collection brings together Three Layer’s pure cotton blanks and our high-cotton blends (80/20 cotton-poly) — every garment where cotton is the dominant fiber and the primary surface your ink, thread, or transfer touches. If cotton performance matters to your brand or your decoration method, every SKU in this category delivers it.
We include 80/20 blends alongside our 100% cotton styles for a practical reason: in an 80/20 fleece, the cotton fiber forms the outer face of the fabric. That is the surface your screen print sits on, the surface your customer touches, and the surface that determines hand feel, ink absorption, and dye behavior. The 20% polyester lives in the interior yarn, where it contributes structural memory and shrink resistance without compromising the cotton-forward characteristics decorators depend on.
Why Cotton Content Matters for Decoration
Cotton is not just a fiber preference — it is a functional choice that affects every stage of the decoration process and the life of the finished garment:
Ink absorption: Cotton fibers are naturally porous and accept plastisol, water-based, and discharge inks into the yarn structure. Prints bond mechanically with the fiber rather than sitting on a synthetic surface, which means better wash durability and a softer hand feel after curing.
Zero dye migration: 100% cotton blanks eliminate the risk of sublimation dye migration entirely — the phenomenon where polyester fibers release dye under heat, bleeding through your ink film and shifting your print colors. This is critical for white and light-colored ink on dark garments.
Reduced dye migration on 80/20 blends: Even our 80/20 styles minimize migration risk because the cotton face yarn acts as a barrier between the poly interior and your ink layer. For most standard cure temperatures and dwell times, an 80/20 blank with a cotton face performs very close to pure cotton.
DTG and discharge compatibility: Direct-to-garment printing and discharge printing both require cotton to function. DTG inks bond with cellulose fibers; discharge chemistry removes cotton-reactive dyes. Neither works on polyester. The higher your cotton percentage, the better both techniques perform.
Embroidery hand feel: Cotton fabric compresses cleanly under embroidery stitches without the synthetic sheen or slipperiness that high-poly blends can exhibit. Stitch definition is sharper and hoop marks release more readily.

100% Cotton Blanks
Pure cotton, no poly content. Maximum ink compatibility, zero dye migration risk, and the classic cotton hand feel that end consumers prefer in tees.
Premium Cotton Tee 1003
5.3 oz, 100% combed cotton. The definitive blank for print shops that need guaranteed dye-migration-free results on every colorway. Combed yarn removes short fibers, producing a smoother printing surface with less fibrillation and cleaner halftone reproduction. An excellent choice for DTG, water-based, plastisol, and discharge printing.
100% Heavy Cotton Tee 1005
6.0 oz, 100% ringspun cotton. Heavier fabric weight with the same zero-migration advantage as the 1003. The ringspun construction adds a tighter, more uniform surface that holds large-format prints and oversized graphics without fabric distortion. When your client wants a premium-weight cotton tee with no compromises on print quality.
High-Cotton Blend Blanks (80/20)
These 80/20 cotton-poly styles combine the cotton face that decorators need with just enough polyester in the interior yarn to improve fabric memory, reduce shrinkage, and extend garment life through heavy wash cycles. The outer surface — the one you print on — is cotton-dominant.
Pullover Hoodie 5108
80/20 cotton-poly fleece. A versatile pullover hoodie with a cotton face that takes screen printing ink beautifully. The small poly component in the fleece backing adds just enough resilience to hold shape without sacrificing the cotton printing surface your shop needs.
Full Zip Hoodie 5109
80/20 cotton-poly with a ringspun cotton face. The zip-front hoodie option for brands that need cotton-forward decoration performance in a full-zip silhouette. The ringspun cotton face yarn ensures a smooth, consistent printing surface across the back panel, chest, and sleeves.
Heavyweight Urban Hoodie 15001
12 oz, 80/20 cotton-poly. Our heaviest blank with the same cotton-face advantage. At 12 ounces, the dense knit structure and cotton-dominant outer yarn deliver exceptional ink opacity on dark colorways. This is the blank for brands building premium streetwear collections where fabric weight and cotton hand feel are both non-negotiable.
